This casing, still in the original evidence bag, was also found at Benjamin Tasker Middle School. The casing was tested and proved to have come from a .223 caliber Bushmaster rifle, the same weapon used by the snipers. After the weapon was recovered, law enforcement used ballistics testing to confirm that the casing came from the rifle recovered at the time of the sniper's arrest.
