21-year-old Keenya Nicole Cook is killed in Tacoma, Washington after being shot point blank by an intruder at her aunt and uncle’s home after answering the door. Shell casings for a .45-caliber handgun and shoe prints left behind at the scene unfortunately lead to a dead end in terms of identifying the intruder. 

After his arrest, Lee Boyd Malvo tells his psychologist that the shooting was a test set out for him by John Allen Muhammad and that Cook was targeted because her family was friends with Muhammad’s ex-wife.
